- INTRODUCTION TO PERMACULTURE
14th and 15th of March 2015
9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday
Please let me know if you want to lift share, so that I can group people together. Please also let me know if you require help in organising accomodation.
Permaculture is a systems approach to sustainability. It is a holistic way of thinking, in which we can consciously create productive environments that work with nature rather than against it. We can design for abundance, and enjoy better, healthier, and happier lives, through making more sustainable choices.
The course will provide an introduction to the ethics and principles of permaculture in a practical and hands on way. It will show you how to apply Permaculture to your window-sill, garden, farm and personal life, through observation, design, and getting your permaculture thinking cap on.
What to Bring:
Boots or Wellies – be prepared for some short walks.
Clothes to keep you warm and dry in case of wet/cold weather as we will be out doing some hands on learning.
Sunscreen and hat in case of warm weather
A notebook and pens (some coloured pencils are useful for the design exercise)
Lunch to share. Lunch on both days to be a buffet of vegetarian food that we have all brought to share. (Please do let me know if this is not an option for you)
If you have a particular space that you want to apply permaculture to, please bring a map of it with as much detail as possible. Include a North Arrow and a Scale Bar.
Tea, Coffee and Biscuits will be provided.
